Hailed in the March
1997 issue of US Magazine as part of "The New Young Hollywood,"
Donna D'Errico is making a splash in her second season on the popular
syndicated show Baywatch. D'Errico is enthusiastically suiting up for
All American Television's international hit, after simultaneously
starring in Baywatch and "Baywatch Nights." "I was
thrilled to receive the honor of working on two television shows at
once," D'Errico comments. "It was the kind of opportunity
every actor hopes for, and now my attention will be focused on
training for the new season."
D'Errico's second
season of Baywatch finds her character, Donna Marco, fascinated by the
adventurous heroism it takes to be a lifeguard. Like Mitch Buchannon (David
Hasselhoff), she has the utmost respect and admiration for this
day-to-day, life and death job. This season, however, Donna will turn
up the heat by stepping on a few toes while trying to rise through the
ranks as a lifeguard.
In high school,
D'Errico excelled at mathematics and was considering an accounting
career before she decided to make the move to Hollywood. Having been
bitten by the comedy bug at an early age, D'Errico is now a favorite
on shows like "The Tonight Show" and "Entertainment
Tonight," largely due to her effervescent personality and quick
wit.
A Georgia native,
D'Errico is also a nature enthusiast, enjoys homeopathic philosophies
and participates in Master's Competition swim training on a weekly
basis. D'Errico enjoys the quiet life at home in Malibu with husband
Nikki Sixx of Motley CrŸe and their four children. "Our home
offers an escape that is like heaven for me to nurture our family and
to retreat from a hectic travel schedule. It's like a personal
sanctuary where I can regain my balance and stamina," says
D'Errico.
